Table Etiquette

While every poker group is different, some will encourage behavior that others wouldn't tolerate, here are some common "no-no's" at the poker table:

Acting out of turn - Wait you turn, do not for example fold ahead of time. This gives too much information to the person acting, and can unfairly affect the game.

No cell phones at the table.

No String Bets - when a player announces a raise, they must verbally announce the total and/or put the entire amount of the raise into the pot. Players may not put some chips into the pot, get a read on their opponent, and then decide to increase the raise.

No revealing the contents of a hand before the hand is completed.

Show one show all. You may not how your cards to one player at the table without showing them to everyone at the table.

One player per hand.

No rabbit hunting. Looking to see what the next card played would have been.

You must show both hole cards to win a pot.

No reading the board aloud. Players are not allowed to say such things as; "Aha, the third Spade, possible flush now fellows".
